UnifiedBot privacy

Privacy policy written by the person who built UnifiedBot

I operate UnifiedBot as a solo builder and take data stewardship seriously. This page spells out, in plain language, what I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have across the Discord bot, dashboard, and landing site.

What I collect

Discord account basics

When you or your moderators use the bot I store the Discord user ID, username, discriminator, and avatar hash so I can show who made a change and map permissions. I do not store email addresses or anything Discord does not already expose through the API.

Server settings

Guild configuration data

I keep the modules, role IDs, channel IDs, ticket options, and automation preferences you set in the dashboard so UnifiedBot can run without reconfiguration. This data never leaves my infrastructure and is only used to power features inside your guilds.

Operational signals

Audit events & logs

I store moderation events, ticket activity, and high-level audit trails so you have a history and I can troubleshoot incidents. These logs exclude message bodies unless you explicitly enable transcripts and even then they are scoped to the ticket channel involved.

Website telemetry

Limited analytics

The marketing site collects basic request logs (IP, user agent, referrer) so I can keep the service secure and understand aggregate traffic. I do not run invasive cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers.

How I use your data

Keep the bot running

Configuration and audit data lets me enable the modules you turn on, enforce permissions, and keep your guilds in sync.

Support & safety

I review logs to investigate abuse, respond to support tickets, and keep spam or exploits out of the ecosystem.

Product decisions

Aggregate metrics (never individual conversations) help me decide which modules to improve next.

Legal compliance

If Discord or law enforcement sends a legitimate request, I may need to share specific data. I push back on anything overreaching.

What I do not do

  • I do not sell or rent your data to advertisers or data brokers.
  • I do not read your private messages; UnifiedBot only sees data Discord sends for the slash command being executed.
  • I do not store payment information because I do not process payments directly.

Retention & deletion

Configuration stays as long as your guild is connected so commands continue working. Audit data is retained for roughly 90 days unless you ask me to clear it sooner.

If you remove UnifiedBot from every guild, the related configuration is purged within 30 days. You can also request deletion any time via email or the support server.

Security commitments

  • Least-privilege Discord scopes, rotating dashboard tokens, and encrypted secrets in transit and at rest.
  • All dashboard traffic goes through HTTPS with HSTS enabled.
  • Access to infrastructure is gated behind MFA and hardware keys.

Your choices

  • Remove the bot from a guild to stop data collection for that server.
  • Email me to request data export or deletion.
  • Limit dashboard access to staff you trust; I honor the permissions you configure.

Need something clarified?

Reach me any time at support@unifiedbot.net or via the UnifiedBot support server linked in the dashboard.

When you contact me I will confirm ownership before sharing guild data.
